19 September 2018
PHARMADEC, which specialises in the design and construction of turnkey products for those involved in the life sciences and well being, worked with LEHNING LABORATORIES on the extension and reorganisation of its flagship pharmaceutical site in Sainte-Barbe (Moselle). The 7300 m² project was officially opened on Friday 14th September in the presence of everyone involved in the construction.
7300 m² to support the development of LEHNING LABORATORIES
LEHNING LABORATORIES, a family business specialising in the formulation, processing and sale of medicines based on natural products, entrusted PHARMADEC with the modernisation of its historic factory in Sainte Barbe. This project aimed at transforming these manufacturing facilities into a flagship pharmaceutical site, involved the teams at LEHNING, and the designers and building managers at PHARMADEC for three years.
A project carried out in eight phases
The construction of this project took place in eight phases in order to adapt the organisation of the building work to a site that was kept up and running. PHARMADEC’s task focused in particular on the design and construction of two extensions, renewing the entire logistics and manufacturing flow, setting up workshops for solids, liquids and pastes for cosmetic and homeopathic medicines, and in particular the central wash station for the factory, the creation of new storage areas, new work areas for dry products, the installation of three driers, a dust-removal system and cold rooms.
350 people came together for the official opening
A few months after this exceptional project was handed over, LEHNING LABORATORIES organised the official opening of their new flagship pharmaceutical site. 350 people came together for a friendly occasion where they were able to discover the extent of the modifications made during the period which lasted almost thirty months. Local councillors, the staff of LEHNING LABORATORIES, their clients and the PHARMADEC teams all attended this day, which enabled people to talk things over.
